LEHIGH VALLEY CHILDREN’S CENTERS TO OPEN POP-UP GALLERY APRIL 18-19 AT CITY CENTER IN DOWNTOWN ALLENTOWN
City Center Investment Corp., the real estate development company revitalizing downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania, announced today that Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers (LVCC) will open a pop-up gallery on the ArtsWalk April 18 and 19, 2018, to showcase projects created by students attending its Lehigh County locations.
The 765-square-foot gallery will be located on the ArtsWalk across from Queen City Barbecue and will display colorful LEGO® creations the students made as part of their STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) curriculum. It will be open to the public with free admission from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., Computer Explorers will lead hands-on robotics activities, and on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., visitors can explore a new way to build with the Da Vinci Science Center’s KEVA Challenge.
“The ArtsWalk is a perfect place to spotlight our children’s creativity and inspire community members to stop in and build something unique,” said LVCC Vice President of Development Debra Lamb.
Since 1970, the nonprofit LVCC has provided high-quality early education and child care to promote healthy child development, meet the needs of families and encourage children to discover the joy of learning. More than 1,200 children attend LVCC each day, making it the largest full-day, year-round, early education and child care provider in the region, with 27 locations in Lehigh and Northampton counties.

Vendors can lease City Center’s Chameleon Pop-up Shops or space within them for between one day and several weeks, meaning multiple vendors may operate in the space simultaneously.
